Cheryl de Vries

Originally from New York, Cheryl has lived and worked in the Netherlands for the past 40 years. She has taught Dutch at a large international school in both the middle and high school divisions primarily with expats. She was head of her department and established the Middle School Orientation Program giving her insight into transitions facing new students and third culture kids. Cheryl received a B.A. in Social Work at Ohio State University and a Masters in Social Work from San Diego State University. She has a New York State Teacher’s Certification. Cheryl has two grown children, one who attended local Dutch schools and the other a private, international school enabling her to make good comparisons between the two systems. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys cooking, reading and traveling.
