For over 15 years, Karen was the Director of Research and Strategic Planning at School Choice International. In that capacity, she worked with individual clients, oversaw group moves and analyzed education around the globe and its impact on the expat community. As a Global Educational Consultant, Karen also assisted families in North America, including the U.S. (Northeast, Midwest, South, West), EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific). Prior to joining School Choice, Karen worked at the US consulate in Sydney, Australia in the Education USA Department. She was also an associate professor at the College of Health Sciences, Rush University, Chicago. Karen has a BA from Coe College and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Karen lived in Australia for 3 years and has three sons who she successfully placed in appropriate schools upon her move there.
